The taskforce brings together key representatives in the small business sector to provide other small businesses with all the technology, resources and IT education they require to ensure their bu
siness succeeds in the 20th century and beyond. The three major political parties have backed the move and will consider the findings of the Microsoft taskforce.\par

Members already signed up for the taskforce include Alison Cansfield, business ec
onomist at the Institute of Directors, Ted Fuller of the Durham University Business School, Pam McAlester, national chairman of the Federation of Small Businesses, as well as top level representatives from the British Chambers of Commerce and the Institu
te of Chartered Accountants.\par
The taskforce hopes to provide small businesses with an understanding of IT and what it can do for them. It will also provide small businesses with a voice in product development. Further details will be posted on Micros
